Internship - Field Application Engineer
About The Position
This internship supports Field Application Engineer (FAE) account teams serving automotive customers. The intern will complete defined technical projects that help account tandems achieve customer goals, assist with daily account workflows and CRM activity, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate customer requirements into technical solutions. The role also offers customer-facing exposure through shadowing Account FAEs during visits when needed and assisting account teams with technical engagement of OEM and Tier One automotive customers. Product and automotive industry knowledge will be developed through mentorship and applied projects. The position is onsite in Livonia, Michigan. The listed wage range is US$27.00–US$39.50 per hour; the hourly rate depends on the highest level of education completed.
Requirements
- Be a senior in a university pursuing Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Be familiar with CRM platforms and the MS Office suite.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills for customer-facing interaction.
- Have a collaborative mindset to support multi-account teams.
- Be able to work onsite in Livonia, Michigan.
Responsibilities
- Complete defined technical projects that help account tandems achieve customer goals.
- Support daily workflow and account-level activity for Field Application Engineer tandems.
- Support daily CRM activity for assigned accounts.
- Shadow Account FAEs during customer visits when necessary.
- Assist account teams in engaging OEM and Tier One automotive customers on technical topics.

- Develop product and automotive industry knowledge through mentorship and applied projects.
