About The Position

The Field Access Specialist (FAS) supports timely and successful patient access to prescribed UCB medicines by educating healthcare providers on navigating payer barriers. The role bridges prescribers’ clinical decisions and patients’ treatment initiation and is a non-promotional position within UCB’s Market Access, Access and Reimbursement Department. The FAS supports sites of care across an assigned New York territory on local, regional, and national payer coverage, pharmacy benefits, and payer policies for UCB Immunology medicines. These sites include private and group practices, academic medical centers, integrated delivery networks and health systems with dermatology departments, associated specialty pharmacies, and other sites of care. The role focuses on supporting dermatology accounts that prescribe UCB medicines, with particular attention to new-account experiences. The FAS partners with office staff to establish effective processes and improve operations, monitors patient access cases, and works with internal and external partners to address barriers and help ensure patients receive treatment.
