About The Position

The Server is the face of the restaurant and has considerable influence on patrons’ experience. The Server maintains a professional and friendly demeanor and provides timely assistance to customers to ensure their needs are met. This position has no supervisory responsibilities and operates in a restaurant setting. Occasional travel may be required.

Requirements

Prior server experience.
Ability to stand for extended periods and bend, stretch, and reach.
High standards of integrity and reliability.
Ability to pass the Responsible Service of Alcohol Test with a score of 90% or better.
Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

Pass the Responsible Service of Alcohol Test with a score of 90% or better.
Serve three to four tables, as determined by management.
Maintain complete knowledge of the restaurant’s food and beverage preparation.
Sell alcohol and food items.
Use a computer to ring orders on a check.
Interact with guests in a friendly and fast manner.
Accept different types of payment and make change.
Maintain assigned side-work and ensure the cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant.
Clear and reset tables.
Check guests’ identification to confirm they are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages.
Politely refuse to serve alcoholic beverages to guests who are not of legal age.
Monitor guests’ behavior and the number of drinks served; offer a taxi if a guest should not drive, and ask a manager to intervene when appropriate.
Treat guests in a manner that ensures their satisfaction and strive to exceed their expectations.
Report to work in a neat, clean uniform and maintain well-groomed hair and personal hygiene.
