About The Position

St. John's University, established in 1870, is seeking an Adjunct Professor for its Fashion Studies Program for Spring 2027. The Fashion Studies Program offers a comprehensive, in-depth, and global approach to studying the business aspects of the fashion industry, with a core curriculum covering fashion, business, ethics, and sustainability. The program aims to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and experiences necessary to succeed in the industry. Internships are an integral part of the program, with opportunities available in New York and at the University's global campuses in Rome, Paris, and Limerick, Ireland. Requirements

  • Master's degree.
  • Industry experience.
  • Proficiency in the field of Fashion.
  • Teaching experience and courses taught (to be included in CV).
  • Industry experience (to be included in CV).

Responsibilities

  • Teach various courses within the Fashion Studies Program, such as Current Issues in Fashion, Color in Life and Fashion, Construction of Denim: Past, Present and Future, and Retailing.
  • Be familiar with the digital fashion process.
  • Provide students with knowledge, skills, and experiences to succeed in the fashion industry.
  • Support foundational knowledge and skills in fashion studies.
