About The Position

LOUISIANA STATE UNIVERSITY, PAUL M. HEBERT LAW CENTER seeks to hire an adjunct faculty member for the Pre-Trial Litigation class. This is an experiential simulation course that places exclusive emphasis on the pretrial phase of the litigation process, including drafting of pleadings and pretrial motions, discovery issues, preparation and use of expert witnesses, and pretrial conference and pretrial order. Through simulated exercises and faculty feedback, students will learn about the pre-trial litigation process, relevant civil procedure, and the ethical and professional obligations of attorneys in this early stage of litigation.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Superior academic credentials.

Responsibilities

  • Teach the Pre-Trial Litigation class.
  • Provide simulated exercises and faculty feedback to students.
  • Educate students on the pre-trial litigation process, relevant civil procedure, and ethical and professional obligations of attorneys.
