About The Position

The Division of Library and Information Science at St. John's University seeks an adjunct faculty member to teach graduate courses in library and information science. The immediate teaching need is for a Spring 2027 course addressing social justice in the information professions. Potential teaching areas include social justice, programs and services for diverse populations, public and academic librarianship, and related areas of library and information science.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in library and information science or a closely related field
  • Demonstrated knowledge of social justice issues and programs and services for diverse populations relevant to the information professions
  • Teaching or professional experience in library and information science

  • Experience teaching graduate students
  • Experience teaching in an online environment
  • Experience using Canvas or a comparable learning management system for online instruction
