About The Position

The Adjunct Religious Studies instructor will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality education in the field of religious studies to undergraduate students. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Religious Studies, Theology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of multiple religious traditions and the ability to teach undergraduate courses effectively.
  • Experience in curriculum development and student assessment within higher education settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage a diverse student body.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver course content for assigned religious studies classes in accordance with the institution’s academic standards.
  • Create and grade assignments, exams, and other assessments to evaluate student learning and provide constructive feedback.
  • Facilitate classroom discussions that encourage critical analysis and respectful dialogue about various religious traditions and issues.
  • Maintain regular office hours to support student learning and provide academic advising as needed.
  • Collaborate with department faculty to ensure curriculum alignment and participate in relevant departmental meetings or activities.
