Adjunct Instructor - Legal Studies
About The Position
The Division of Social Sciences at Methodist University is looking for adjunct faculty in Legal Studies. We offer a variety of courses in the various forms of the legal system and are specifically looking for faculty who can teach courses such as Introduction to Law, Environmental Regulations, Legal Research and Writing, Law and the Legal System, Tort Law, and Contract Law. Part-time adjunct instructors can teach up to three courses per semester and will be responsible for developing and delivering course content in line with course and programmatic outcomes, grading assignments, and providing feedback to students. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis as teaching needs arise.
Requirements
- A minimum of a JD and some teaching experience, or experienced professionals (5 years or more) in the field.
- Preferably at least one year of classroom teaching experience and/or online teaching experience.
Responsibilities
- Developing and delivering course content (in line with course and programmatic outcomes)
- Grading assignments
- Providing feedback to students
