About The Position
Lyon College invites applications for a dynamic, dedicated, and student-centered Adjunct Instructor of Communication Studies to teach remotely or in person. We seek an educator who is passionate about teaching and mentoring undergraduates within a rigorous liberal arts framework.
Requirements
- Master's degree or higher in Communication Studies, Journalism, Broadcasting, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level.
- A strong commitment to student advising, mentorship, and supporting undergraduate academic development.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
- Familiarity with, and commitment to, liberal arts education and its student-centered pedagogical approaches.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality instruction in assigned undergraduate Communication courses.
- Foster an inclusive, engaging, and intellectually stimulating classroom environment.
- Maintain regular, scheduled office hours to support student success.
- Provide constructive feedback and timely grading on student coursework.
