Family Resource Navigator- Crisis Nursery
About The Position
The Center for Youth, an organization started by youth for youth, partners with young people to help them reach their full potential by creating opportunities, removing barriers, and promoting social justice. The Crisis Nursery provides free, temporary, professional care for children aged birth to 14 years old when caregivers face a crisis, such as an accident, sudden illness, or housing emergency. The Family Resource Navigator role within the Crisis Nursery program offers supportive case management services to families. This involves conducting needs assessments for families seeking case management and assisting clients with referrals to community resources.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Human Services or related field AND 1 year related experience OR equivalent
- A valid driver's license
- Telephone skills
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
- Case management techniques and interventions
- Knowledge of community resources
- Knowledge of risk reduction and protective factors
- Knowledge of family service systems
- Strong literacy and communication skills
- Strong communication, time management and multi-tasking skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Advanced knowledge of Internet Explorer
- Automobile insurance that meets agency insurance carrier requirements
