Fam Pres & Reunification Case Worker
About The Position
As a Family Preservation and Reunification Caseworker, you will work with children, youth, and families in conjunction with the Mifflin County Children & Youth Services. You will be responsible for initiating and maintaining contact with families who are referred through Mifflin County CYS, accompanying and helping families prepare for doctor appointments, as well as monthly foster home visits and observations. You will prepare and complete required documentation, including case notes, in compliance with regulations and company standards, while also being available and prepared to provide court testimony in a professional manner as needed and scheduled.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; or Bachelor’s Degree in an unrelated field with a minimum of 12 credits in a Human Service-related course (e.g., psychology, sociology, counseling).
- 1-year experience/training in working with children and/or families.
- A valid Pennsylvania Driver’s license with a good driving record.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of the child welfare, juvenile justice, mental health, or developmental disability service systems is a plus.
