About The Position

Regency Park Family Practice is seeking a Family Physician to provide Locum coverage from October 26th to October 30th, 2026. This is a full-scope practice providing care for patients at all stages of life. The clinic also operates a duty clinic which is open to the public by appointment. The clinic is fully integrated into the MedAccess EMR system, and supported by 11 administrative staff, an Office Manager, and a Clinic Director. Billing support is provided, as well as EMR training if needed. There are a total of 21 providers working full-time and part-time.

Requirements

• Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
• Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
• Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).

Responsibilities

• Delivery of comprehensive primary health care services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness.
• Work with other providers in the clinic to provide cross coverage and same day access.
• Utilize an electronic medical record (EMR) and record all relevant patient details in a provincially approved EMR which is accessible to all collaborating team members.

Benefits

• Guaranteed daily minimum income of $1,200 for family physicians ($600 or half-day).
• Additional shadow billings if above amount is exceeded.

• Travel expenses (including air fare up to $1,500).
• Travel time up to 10 hours per week.
