Locum - Family Medicine - Halifax
About The Position
Skyview Medical Clinic is seeking a Family Physician to provide Locum coverage for the following dates: December 21st - December 31st, 2026 and January 1st - January 13th, 2027. This role involves delivering comprehensive primary health care services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness. The physician will work collaboratively with other providers in the clinic to ensure cross coverage and same-day access for patients. A key responsibility is to utilize an electronic medical record (EMR) and accurately record all relevant patient details in a provincially approved EMR, which is accessible to all collaborating team members.
Requirements
- all applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- all family physicians must be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
Responsibilities
- delivery of comprehensive primary health care services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness
- work with other providers in the clinic to provide cross coverage and same day access
- utilize an electronic medical record (EMR) and record all relevant patient details in a provincially approved EMR which is accessible to all collaborating team members
Benefits
- guaranteed daily minimum income of $1,200 for family physicians ($600 or half-day)
- additional shadow billings if above amount is exceeded.

- travel expenses (including air fare up to $1,500)
- travel time up to 10 hours per week
- licensing fees for College of Physicians and Surgeons (CPSNS)
