About The Position

Dr. Mark Kazimirski's Practice is seeking a Family Physician to provide Locum coverage from December 1st, 2026 - April 30th, 2027. This is a full-time position (1.0 FTE) within the Central Zone, specializing in Family Practice. The practice is privately owned, with two physicians working independently but connecting regularly for case discussions. Located 40 minutes from Halifax, the practice uses MedAccess EMR and offers very flexible schedule hours and dates. Coverage falls under the locum program, with no additional overhead required and billing included.

Requirements

• Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
• Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
• Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).

Responsibilities

• Delivery of comprehensive primary health care services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness.
• Work with other providers in the clinic to provide cross coverage and same day access.
• Utilize an electronic medical record (EMR) and record all relevant patient details in a provincially approved EMR which is accessible to all collaborating team members.

Benefits

• Guaranteed daily minimum income of $1,200 for family physicians ($600 or half-day).
• Additional shadow billings if above amount is exceeded.
