About The Position
Clare Health Centre is seeking a Family Physician to provide Locum coverage during a period of active recruitment beginning in July 2026. Locum physicians provide coverage for family practices, including inpatient and nursing home care, as well as specialist hospital and office coverage as requested.
Requirements
- Eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
Nice To Haves
- French speaking physicians are an asset
Responsibilities
- Provide coverage for family practices
- Provide inpatient and nursing home care
- Provide specialist hospital and office coverage as requested
Benefits
- Minimum daily income guarantee of $1,200 for family physicians ($600 for half-day)
- Travel expenses reimbursed, including kilometrage (within Atlantic provinces), per diems, accommodations (up to $300 per night), and airfare (up to $1,500)
- Reimbursement for travel time up to 10 hours per week
