About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join their growing team in Cumming, GA. The FNP will provide patient-focused care in urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine settings. The role involves leading a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This opportunity is open to new graduates, with comprehensive training and ongoing support provided, including a complimentary pediatric urgent care course and on-call provider assistance. FNPs will utilize their full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages, which helps maintain and enhance clinical skills. The position emphasizes leadership, with FNPs acting as the primary medical provider in the clinic and serving as professional role models for medical assistants. The role also supports rural communities by providing access to care in underserved areas. Many clinics qualify for tuition reimbursement or student loan reimbursement grants, and the company assists with the application process. Requirements

  • Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required.
  • MSN, or higher education required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.
  • Are you DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (we cover the cost of the certification)?

Responsibilities

  • Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
  • Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
  • Perform minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
  • Suture.
  • Splint.
  • Perform General Orthopedic evaluations/management.
  • Review x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist, too).
  • Handle General Dermatology issues.
  • Address General eye problems.
  • Perform General EKG interpretations.
  • Utilize Emergency management skills.
  • Apply General GYN expertise.
  • Treat children of all ages.
  • Provide Occupational medicine services.
  • Conduct Telemedicine appointments.
