About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join their growing team in Tarboro, NC. The FNP will provide patient-focused care in an urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine setting. The role involves leading a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This opportunity is open to new graduates and offers comprehensive support, including on-site orientation, training shifts, a complimentary pediatric urgent care course, and on-call provider support for clinical decision-making. FNPs will utilize their full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages from babies to geriatrics, which helps keep skills sharp and enhances marketability. The position emphasizes leadership, with FNPs acting as the primary medical provider in the clinic, supported by treatment protocols and a team of medical assistants. The role also supports rural communities by providing access to care 362 days a year and assists eligible employees in applying for tuition reimbursement or student loan reimbursement grants. Requirements

• Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required.
• MSN, or higher education required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.

Nice To Haves

• DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (we cover the cost of the certification).

Responsibilities

• Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
• Diagnosing and treating cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
• Performing minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
• Suturing.
• Splinting.
• General Orthopedic evaluations/management.
• Review of x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist, too).
• General Dermatology.
• General eye problems.
• General EKG interpretations.
• Emergency management skills.
• General GYN expertise.
• Treating children of all ages.
• Occupational medicine.
• Telemedicine.
