About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join their team in Liberty, NC. This role focuses on providing patient-centered care to help patients feel better quickly. The clinic offers urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine services. The ideal candidate will be able to lead a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care setting. This opportunity is open to new graduates, with comprehensive training and ongoing support provided, including a complimentary pediatric urgent care course and on-call provider assistance for clinical decision-making. FNPs will utilize their full scope of practice to treat patients of all ages, from infants to geriatrics, which helps maintain and enhance marketable skills. The role emphasizes leadership, with FNPs acting as the primary medical provider in the clinic, supported by treatment protocols and a team of medical assistants. The position also supports rural communities by providing access to care in underserved areas, with clinics open 362 days a year. MainStreet Family Care actively assists with applications for state-funded tuition reimbursement or student loan reimbursement grants. This role is described as a "rocket ship" for career growth, with a two-year commitment expected from the provider.

Requirements

  • Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required.
  • MSN, or higher education required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.
  • DOT certified or willing to become DOT certified (cost covered by employer).

Responsibilities

  • Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
  • Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
  • Perform minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.).
  • Suture.
  • Splint.
  • Provide general orthopedic evaluations/management.
  • Review x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist).
  • Address general dermatology issues.
  • Treat general eye problems.
  • Perform general EKG interpretations.
  • Utilize emergency management skills.
  • Apply general GYN expertise.
  • Treat children of all ages.
  • Provide occupational medicine services.
  • Conduct telemedicine appointments.
