About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join their growing team in Starke, FL. The FNP will provide patient-focused care in urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine settings. The role involves leading a small team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This opportunity is open to new graduates and offers comprehensive training, including an on-site HQ orientation, training shifts with experienced providers, a complimentary pediatric urgent care CE course, and access to an NP on-call for clinical support. The position allows FNPs to utilize their full scope of practice, treating patients of all ages from infants to geriatrics, which helps keep skills sharp and enhances marketability. The role emphasizes leadership, with the FNP acting as the primary medical provider in the clinic, supported by treatment protocols and a team of medical assistants. The company supports rural communities by providing accessible care 362 days a year and assists eligible employees in applying for tuition reimbursement or student loan reimbursement grants. Requirements

  • Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required.
  • MSN, or higher education required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Care for every patient who comes through the door within your scope of practice.
  • Diagnose and treat cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues.
  • Perform minor procedures such as toenail removal and foreign object removal.
  • Suture and splint.
  • Provide general orthopedic evaluations and management.
  • Review x-rays (to be over-read by a Radiologist).
  • Handle general dermatology and general eye problems.
  • Perform general EKG interpretations.
  • Utilize emergency management skills.
  • Provide general GYN expertise.
  • Treat children of all ages.
  • Provide occupational medicine services.
  • Conduct telemedicine appointments.
