About The Position

One Medical is hiring a per diem, hourly Family Medicine Physician to support its Bay Meadows office in San Mateo and other nearby offices. The role involves 8–23 patient care hours per week and is not a panel-building position. The physician will see patients with a broad range of needs, including acute, chronic, and well visits, provide care in-office and occasional telehealth visits, collaborate with in-office teammates through daily huddles and with virtual clinical teams, and use their clinical training in opportunities to perform in-office procedures. The position requires enrollment in or completion of an accredited Family Medicine or Medicine/Pediatrics residency, at least two of the last five years practicing outpatient primary care with patients of all ages, and California licensure before the One Medical start date. Physicians must be board certified or meet the stated board-eligible/residency and exam-scheduling criteria. One Medical clinicians are expected to provide human-centered, evidence-based primary care; communicate effectively with people of all backgrounds; use technology to deliver care; contribute to a collaborative team; reflect on feedback; navigate uncertainty; and adapt their behavior to patient needs. The hourly rate is $177.00. Starting pay may vary based on practice experience and patient care schedule, and additional pay may be determined for candidates exceeding the specified qualifications and requirements. The total compensation package may also include benefits. The posting describes a broad benefits package for regular team members working 24 or more hours per week; the role itself is listed as 8–23 patient care hours per week. It also lists benefits and resources for casual/per diem clinicians, including malpractice coverage, an UpToDate subscription, a company-issued laptop, and sick time PTO eligibility in accordance with local requirements.
