About The Position

Youth Villages is seeking a Family Intervention Specialist for its Intercept® program in Greensboro, North Carolina. Intercept is an evidence-based, intensive in-home program designed to help keep families together by preventing out-of-home placements or supporting reunification after placements such as foster care, residential treatment, hospitalization, or juvenile detention. The program serves youth from birth through age 18 who face serious emotional or behavioral challenges or have experienced trauma, including abuse or neglect. Specialists work directly with families in their homes and communities, not in an office-based setting, providing strength-based support and evidence-based mental health interventions that help families develop lasting change, parenting skills, and communication skills. The position carries a caseload of four to six families and includes individual and family sessions three times per week, scheduled around family availability. The schedule is flexible and non-traditional. Specialists travel to families’ homes and communities, provide on-call crisis support, collaborate with other providers and systems, and complete documentation in an electronic medical record. Salary is $58,000–$63,000, based on education and clinical license. Community-based staff are reimbursed for applicable mileage.
