About The Position

Youth Villages’ Intercept® program is an evidence-based, intensive in-home service that aims to keep families together by preventing out-of-home placements or supporting reunification after placements such as foster care, residential treatment, hospitalization, or juvenile detention. The program serves youth from birth through age 18 who face serious emotional or behavioral challenges or have experienced trauma, including abuse or neglect. Family Intervention Specialists provide services in families’ homes and communities, using strength-based support and evidence-based mental health interventions to help families develop parenting and communication skills and achieve lasting change. Intercept is not an office-based program. The specialist carries a caseload of four to six families and holds individual and family sessions three times weekly, scheduled around family availability. The role includes ongoing assessment, professional development meetings, collaboration with providers and other stakeholders, on-call crisis support, and timely documentation. The schedule is flexible and non-traditional, based on the availability of the youth and families served. The position requires a current valid driver’s license, an automobile for work purposes, and proof of auto insurance. Applicable mileage is reimbursed. Salary is $52,000–$60,000 per year, based on education and clinical license.
