Family Intervention Specialist

Youth Villages•Portland, OR

About The Position

Youth Villages is hiring a Family Intervention Specialist for its Intercept® program, an evidence-based, intensive in-home service designed to help keep families together by preventing out-of-home placements or supporting reunification. The program serves youth from birth through age 18 who face serious emotional or behavioral challenges or have experienced trauma, including abuse or neglect. Specialists provide services in families’ homes and communities, not in an office, using strength-based support and evidence-based mental health interventions to help families build parenting and communication skills and achieve lasting change. The role carries a caseload of four to six families and includes frequent family sessions, ongoing assessment, collaboration with other providers, case workers and courts, crisis support, and timely electronic medical record documentation. The schedule is flexible and non-traditional, based on the availability of the youth and families served. The position includes driving to family homes and community locations, with applicable mileage reimbursement. Salary is $70,000–$86,000 per year, based on education and clinical license. Relocation assistance of $6,000 is offered.
