About The Position

Youth Villages is hiring a Family Intervention Specialist for its Intercept® program in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Intercept is an evidence-based, intensive in-home program designed to keep families together by preventing out-of-home placements or supporting reunification after placements such as foster care, residential treatment, hospitalization, or juvenile detention. It serves youth from birth through age 18 who face serious emotional or behavioral challenges or have experienced trauma, including abuse or neglect. Services are delivered in families’ homes and communities, not in an office, and use strength-based support and evidence-based mental health interventions to help families build parenting and communication skills and achieve lasting change. The specialist carries four to six families and holds individual and family sessions three times per week with each family, scheduled around families’ availability. The role includes ongoing youth assessments, collaboration with providers and systems, crisis support, documentation, and regular clinical and professional development meetings. The schedule is flexible and non-traditional. The specialist may drive 60 to 80 miles to meet families, with additional travel possible. A current, valid driver’s license, an automobile for work purposes, and proof of auto insurance are required; applicable mileage is reimbursed. The listed salary is $58,000–$66,000, based on education and clinical license. Youth Villages describes its mission as helping children and families live successfully and offers employee development and advancement opportunities.
