About The Position

Youth Villages is hiring a Family Intervention Specialist for its Intercept® program in Asheville, North Carolina. Intercept is an evidence-based, intensive in-home program that helps prevent out-of-home placements and supports reunification after placements such as foster care, residential treatment, hospitalization, or juvenile detention. It serves youth from birth through age 18 who face serious emotional or behavioral challenges or have experienced trauma. Services are delivered in families’ homes and communities, not in an office, and are tailored to family needs through strength-based support, evidence-based mental health interventions, and development of parenting and communication skills. The specialist carries a caseload of four to six families and meets with each family for individual and family sessions three times per week, scheduled around family availability. The work involves home- and community-based visits, collaboration with providers and systems involved in each case, crisis support, and timely documentation. The schedule is flexible and non-traditional. The position includes weekly professional-development meetings, quarterly clinical booster trainings, and mileage reimbursement when applicable.
