Faculty Professor - Full-Time
About The Position
The Department of Pediatrics of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine is recruiting for Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor positions in the appointment (non-tenure) stream. These positions are open to applicants with a doctoral-level degree in medicine (MD, DO), who are board certified or board eligible, qualified for medical licensure in Pennsylvania, and meet the minimum credentials for their pediatric specialty. Responsibilities include patient care, teaching, and research as determined by the chairman and division chief. Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience and academic credentials. Specific rank requirements include 1-6 years of experience for Assistant Professors, 7-10 years for Associate Professors, and 10+ years for Professors, all with demonstrated academic progress/contributions, leadership, excellence, and innovation in their pediatric specialty.
Requirements
- Doctoral-level degree in medicine (MD, DO).
- Board certified or board eligible.
- Qualified for medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Meet minimum position credentials for the pediatric specialty.
Nice To Haves
- 1-6 years of experience with demonstrated academic progress/contributions in their pediatric specialty (for Assistant Professor).
- 7-10 years of experience with significant demonstrated academic progress/contributions in their pediatric specialty (for Associate Professor).
- 10 or more years of experience with a clear demonstration of leadership, academic excellence and innovation in their pediatric specialty (for Professor).
