About The Position
The Department of Pediatrics of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine is recruiting for Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor positions in the appointment (non-tenure) stream or tenure stream. These positions are open to applicants with doctoral-level education in Pediatrics (MD, DO), who are board-certified or board eligible, qualified for medical licensure in Pennsylvania, and meet the minimum credentials for their pediatric specialty. Responsibilities include patient care, teaching, and research as determined by the chairman and division chief. Specific rank requirements vary: Assistant Professors typically have 1-6 years of experience with academic progress; Associate Professors have 7-10 years of experience with significant academic contributions; and Professors have 10+ years of experience with demonstrated leadership, excellence, and innovation.
Requirements
- Doctoral-level education in Pediatrics (MD, DO)
- Board-certified or board eligible
- Qualified for medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
- Meet minimum position credentials for the pediatric specialty
- Assistant Professors: 1-6 years of experience with demonstrated academic progress/contributions
- Associate Professors: 7-10 years of experience with significant demonstrated academic progress/contributions
- Professors: 10 or more years of experience with a clear demonstration of leadership, academic excellence, and innovation
