About The Position

The Department of Medicine's Renal-Electrolyte Division, along with the Starzl Transplantation Institute, are seeking full-time faculty at the level of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor levels outside the tenure stream and tenure stream for a Transplant Nephrologist position. Candidates must be ABIM board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology; licensed to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; possess exceptional clinical knowledge of clinical acumen; and be committed to teaching and in-patient and ambulatory patient care. Physicians will support the Nephrology Transplant Fellowship program and support trainees assigned to the Nephrology Transplant rotation.

Requirements

  • ABIM board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology
  • Licensed to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
  • Exceptional clinical knowledge and acumen
  • Doctoral or appropriate professional degree (MD or DO)

  • Capacity for sustained, impactful, and independent scholarly contributions and leadership (for Associate Professor)
  • Served five to seven years as Associate Professor (for Professor)
  • Attained authoritative knowledge and reputation in a recognized field of learning (for Professor)
  • Achieved effective teaching skills (for Professor)
  • Attained superior stature in their field through scholarship, professional practice, and leadership in professional and learned organizations (for Professor)
