About The Position

The Factory Technician repairs, adjusts, and maintains seafood-processing machinery and related equipment in a shore plant production facility. Equipment includes pumps, motors, conveyors, gears, hydraulic systems, pneumatic equipment, and heading, gutting, fillet, and mince machines. The role performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, adjustments, and routine daily maintenance to support production goals. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
HAZWOPER certification, or ability to obtain certification within one year.
Ability to perform the listed physical demands, including standing, walking, handling and reaching, and lifting or moving loads up to 50 pounds on occasion.

Nice To Haves

Two years of experience in an applicable or similar position, or applicable accredited technical training.

Responsibilities

Complete preventive maintenance and repairs on motors, pumps, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, conveyor systems, and production machines as directed.
Locate sources of mechanical problems by observing equipment in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
Inspect used parts and determine changes in dimensional requirements using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools, levels, and straightedges.
Perform routine daily maintenance and equipment adjustments as required to meet production goals and requests.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
