About The Position

Facility Management Corporation, known as FMC Ice Sports, manages and operates public ice-sport facilities and programs. The Facility Supervisor provides on-site supervision of staff and facilities to ensure a clean, safe, and healthy environment. The position performs routine maintenance and janitorial duties while the facility is open to the public and operates an ice resurfacer. The supervisor may work independently or alongside other staff according to the facility’s activity schedule and reports to the General Manager or Arena Manager.

This is a full-time seasonal position running from August through April. The schedule includes nights, weekends, and some holidays as needed. Compensation is $24–$28 per hour, with eligibility for a 2%–4% annual increase based on performance and a discretionary year-end bonus. Benefits eligibility includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and earned time after the applicable eligibility period.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to analyze situations and develop solutions with minimal supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with a variety of individuals and groups.
• Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively.

Nice To Haves

• One year of work experience in an ice arena or similar organization, with some exposure to operations and maintenance functions.
• Knowledge of equipment.
• Experience operating an ice resurfacer; training may be provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and secure the facility.
• Make and maintain the ice surface and maintain arena facilities.
• Complete and maintain required logs.
• Ensure facilities are cleaned regularly.
• Handle scheduling and payroll as determined by the General Manager or Arena Manager.
• Train new hires in coordination with the General Manager or Arena Manager and Operations Personnel.
• Oversee on-site staff, including Facility Operators and Facility Support Staff.
• Operate an ice resurfacer.
• Demonstrate commitment to outstanding customer service for internal and external customers.
