About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring Facility Drivers for its detox and residential treatment facility in Metairie, Louisiana. The role supports client transportation for admissions, discharges, and appointments, while also providing peer-level engagement and assistance to clients during transport. When not transporting clients, the driver assists with custodial and maintenance duties.

Requirements

• Current and valid state-issued driver's license.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Dignified, respectable character reflecting recovery principles.
• Extensive knowledge of motor vehicle laws.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience in the treatment industry.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the transportation schedule and safely transport clients for admissions, discharges, and appointments as necessary.
• Collect and deliver external appointment documentation and laboratory specimens as necessary.
• Engage clients at a peer-support level during transport and assist with luggage.
• Keep the vehicle well-maintained, fully fueled, and ready for use.
• Assist with custodial and maintenance duties when not actively transporting clients.
