About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring Facility Drivers for its detox and residential treatment facility in Metairie, Louisiana. The driver monitors transportation schedules and safely transports clients for admissions, discharges, and appointments. The role also involves delivering appointment documentation and lab specimens, engaging clients in peer support during transportation, and assisting with luggage. Drivers keep vehicles maintained, fueled, and ready for use, and help with custodial and maintenance duties when not transporting clients.

Requirements

• Current and valid state-issued driver's license.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Dignified, respectable character reflecting recovery principles.
• Extensive knowledge of motor vehicle laws.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience in the treatment industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the transportation schedule and safely transport clients for admissions, discharges, and appointments as necessary.
• Collect and deliver external appointment documentation and lab specimens as necessary.
• Engage clients at a peer-support level during transport and assist with luggage.
• Ensure the vehicle is well-maintained, fully fueled, and ready for use at all times.
• Assist with custodial and maintenance duties when not actively transporting clients.
