About The Position
Avenues Recovery Center is hiring Facility Drivers for its detox and residential treatment facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. The role transports clients for admissions, discharges, and appointments, and supports clients during transportation. When not transporting, the driver assists with custodial and maintenance duties. The driver is also responsible for keeping the vehicle maintained, fueled, and ready for use.
Requirements
- Current and valid state-issued driver's license.
- Strong communication and time-management skills.
- Dignified, respectable character that reflects recovery principles.
- Extensive knowledge of motor vehicle laws.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience in the treatment industry preferred.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the transportation schedule and safely transport clients for admissions, discharges, and appointments as necessary.
- Collect and deliver external appointment documentation and lab specimens as necessary.
- Engage with clients at a peer-support level during transport and assist with luggage.
- Ensure the vehicle is well-maintained, fully fueled, and ready for use at all times.
- Assist with custodial and maintenance duties when not actively transporting clients.
