About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is seeking a Facility Driver to support transportation and facility operations at its Fort Wayne residential treatment center. The driver monitors the transportation schedule and safely transports clients for admissions, discharges, and appointments. The role also includes collecting and delivering external appointment documentation and lab specimens, providing peer-level support to clients during transport, and helping with luggage. The driver keeps the vehicle maintained, fueled, and ready for use, and assists with custodial and maintenance duties when not transporting clients.

Requirements

• Current and valid state-issued driver's license.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Dignified, respectable character that reflects recovery principles.
• Extensive knowledge of motor vehicle laws.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience in the treatment industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the transportation schedule and safely transport clients for admissions, discharges, and appointments as necessary.
• Collect and deliver external appointment documentation and lab specimens as necessary.
• Engage with clients at a peer-support level during transport and assist with luggage.
• Ensure the vehicle is well-maintained, fully fueled, and ready for use at all times.
• Assist with custodial and maintenance duties when not actively engaged in transportation.
