About The Position

The Facility Custodian maintains a clean, safe, and efficient work environment across production areas, offices, warehouses, and common spaces. The role supports daily operations by upholding sanitation standards and performing routine cleaning and light maintenance. Work may include using a scissor lift for high-level maintenance, cleaning, or repairs that cannot be safely reached with standard ladders or extension poles. The custodian works independently and alongside the Facilities & Workplace Experience team. The work environment includes office, manufacturing, and production-floor areas, with potential exposure to noise, moving machinery, metal materials, heat, and varying temperatures. Required protective equipment must be used on the production floor. The role may involve working near equipment that generates strong electromagnetic fields, which may pose a risk to individuals with cardiac pacemakers, ICDs, or other implantable medical devices. SendCutSend will provide appropriate training and certification for specific equipment required for the duties. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The listed salary is $22.00–$40.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of janitorial experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment, such as industrial floor cleaners, pressure washers, and shop vacuums.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Willingness to take initiative and help where needed.
Clear verbal and written communication skills to act as a bridge between team members and departments.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Consistent reliability and punctuality.
Basic understanding of workplace safety practices.
Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to consistently stand and walk during 8-hour shifts.
Ability to bend, reach, and work around large industrial equipment.
Ability to stoop, kneel, climb ladders, and reach overhead.

Nice To Haves

2 years of custodial experience in a manufacturing environment.
1 year of experience with industrial cleaning equipment.
Experience in a fast-paced, multi-shift manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize offices, restrooms, break rooms, conference rooms, and common areas.
Complete light maintenance tasks, such as painting and simple repairs.
Operate industrial floor cleaners, shop vacuums, pressure washers, and other cleaning equipment.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors in office and production areas.
Maintain cleanliness throughout warehouse areas.
Empty trash and recycling bins throughout the facility.
Restock restroom, kitchen, and custodial supplies as needed.
Clean windows, doors, walls, and other interior surfaces as needed.
Perform seasonal and routine deep-cleaning tasks as needed.
Report maintenance needs, safety concerns, or damaged equipment to appropriate personnel.
Follow safety protocols and cleaning procedures, including proper handling and storage of cleaning supplies.
Maintain facility entrances, sidewalks, smoking areas, and outdoor common spaces.
Clean, dust, or change filters in high-mounted ceiling vents and return air grilles.
Remove dust, cobwebs, or debris from high ceilings, exposed rafters, and large overhead fans.
Perform other duties as assigned, including tasks that support the Facilities & Workplace Experience team.
