About The Position

Verde Clean is seeking a reliable Custodian to support operations at TSMC in Phoenix, Arizona. The Custodian helps maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment while supporting Verde Clean’s commitment to sustainability, safety, and exceptional service. The listed schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, at $17 per hour. Custodians may be assigned to the Construction Cleanup Team, which cleans construction areas and common spaces, removes dust, debris, and construction-related waste, prepares completed areas for occupancy, and follows site safety requirements and PPE protocols. The role requires continuous movement and physical work throughout the shift, including cleaning floors and surfaces, handling waste and supplies, maneuvering carts, and working in varied environments. Requirements

Janitorial, custodial, or cleaning experience preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of cleaning equipment and safety procedures.
Ability to stand, walk, and move continuously throughout an entire shift on surfaces including concrete, tile, and carpet, and to climb stairs and navigate multi-floor facilities as needed.
Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds unassisted, and up to 35 pounds infrequently.
Ability to maneuver loaded janitorial carts, trash receptacles, and supply carts weighing up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 35 pounds infrequently.
Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, and reach overhead up to 8 feet using a step stool or ladder; repeatedly twist and extend arms and shoulders while cleaning.
Ability to repeatedly grip, squeeze, and manipulate cleaning tools and equipment; manual dexterity sufficient to operate floor buffers, auto scrubbers, wet/dry vacuums, and steam cleaners.
Ability to identify areas requiring cleaning, inspect surfaces for soil and residue, read product labels and safety data sheets (SDS), and distinguish colors sufficiently to sort waste streams and identify chemical products.
Ability to work in varying temperatures, including outdoor areas, and in high-humidity areas such as restrooms and kitchens; tolerate exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, odors, and allergens while following PPE and safety protocols.
Ability to maintain consistent physical output throughout the shift with standard rest breaks.
