About The Position

The Custodian maintains and protects facilities, keeping interior and exterior spaces clean, orderly, and prepared for occupants. The role involves careful, thorough cleaning and tidying, supporting building upkeep, and helping prevent vandalism. The position is onsite in Seattle, Washington, and is scheduled from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a custodian, janitor, or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of the use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances.
• Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components.
• Attention to detail and conscientiousness.
• Very good physical condition and strength.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Prepare spaces for the next day by removing trash, arranging furniture, and dusting surfaces.
• Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets.
• Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks, and showers, and restock supplies such as soap.
• Wipe mirrors and windows.
• Maintain exterior premises by watering plants, mowing the lawn, and cleaning entrances.
• Report major damage and oversee repairs.
• Detail bathrooms and office spaces.
• Clean and move large kitchen rubber mats.
