About The Position

The Facility Custodian helps maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workplace across office, manufacturing, production, warehouse, and common areas. The role includes routine cleaning and sanitation, light maintenance, stocking supplies, and maintaining the facility exterior. The custodian may use a scissor lift for high-level cleaning, maintenance, or repairs that cannot be safely reached with standard ladders or extension poles. SendCutSend will provide proper training and certification for the specific equipment needed. Work may occur near equipment generating strong electromagnetic fields, which may pose risks to people with cardiac pacemakers, ICDs, or other implantable medical devices. The schedule is Thursday through Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Compensation is $22.00–$40.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of janitorial experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment such as industrial floor cleaners, pressure washers, and shop vacuums.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Willingness to take initiative and help where needed.
Clear verbal and written communication skills to serve as a bridge between team members and departments.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Reliability and punctuality.
Basic understanding of workplace safety practices.
Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand and walk consistently for 8-hour shifts.
Ability to bend, reach, work around large industrial equipment, stoop, kneel, climb ladders, and reach overhead.

Nice To Haves

2 years of custodial experience in a manufacturing environment.
1 year of experience with industrial cleaning equipment.
Experience in a fast-paced, multi-shift manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize offices, restrooms, break rooms, conference rooms, common areas, and production spaces.
Perform light maintenance tasks, including painting and simple repairs.
Operate industrial floor cleaners, shop vacuums, pressure washers, and other cleaning equipment.
Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in office and production areas; maintain cleanliness throughout warehouse areas.
Empty trash and recycling bins throughout the facility.
Restock restroom, kitchen, and custodial supplies as needed.
Clean windows, doors, walls, and other interior surfaces as needed.
Perform seasonal and routine deep-cleaning tasks.
Report maintenance needs, safety concerns, and damaged equipment to appropriate personnel.
Follow safety protocols and cleaning procedures, including proper handling and storage of cleaning supplies.
Maintain exterior areas, including entrances, sidewalks, smoking areas, and outdoor common spaces.
Clean, dust, or change filters in high-mounted ceiling vents and return air grilles.
Remove dust, cobwebs, or debris from high ceilings, exposed rafters, and large overhead fans.
Perform other duties as assigned and support the Facilities & Workplace Experience team.
