About The Position

The Facilities Tech III maintains and repairs heating, cooling, electrical, television, plumbing, and telephone systems and assists with emergency situations as needed. The position performs preventive maintenance and repairs on building mechanical systems, equipment, and tools; operates and maintains life safety systems; and performs maintenance and repairs in public areas and guest rooms.

Requirements

At least four years of experience in two of the following areas: heating, cooling, electrical, television, plumbing, or telephone service.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Ability to work in extreme temperatures, including temperatures as hot as 115 degrees or as low as 10 degrees below zero.
Ability to work well with coworkers as part of a team.
Well-groomed appearance.
Ability to respond to aural cues across the full audible range in high-noise conditions, respond to visual cues, and perceive color.
Ability to stoop, bend, jump, carry heavy loads, and run on level surfaces and up and down stairs.
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to maneuver quickly around casino and hotel areas.
Ability to tolerate secondhand smoke.
Coordination and dexterity to work with power and hand tools, including drills, electric saws, hammers, and sewer snakes.
Ability to think clearly and respond calmly in emergency situations.
Ability to learn and retain the locations, operation, and repair procedures of the property's equipment, mechanical systems, and life safety systems.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repair duties on building mechanical systems, equipment, and tools.
Operate life safety systems and perform maintenance and repairs in public areas and guest rooms.
Assist with emergency situations as needed.
Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to departmental and company policies.
