About The Position

The Facilities Tech III maintains and repairs heating, cooling, electrical, television, plumbing, and telephone systems, and assists with emergency situations as needed. The role performs preventive maintenance and repairs on building mechanical systems, equipment, and tools; operates life safety systems; and carries out maintenance and repairs in public areas and guest rooms. The position requires adherence to attendance guidelines and departmental and company policies. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is available.

Requirements

• At least four years of experience in two of the following areas: heating, cooling, electrical, television, plumbing, or telephone service.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures, from 115 degrees to 10 degrees below zero.
• Ability to get along well with coworkers and work as part of a team.
• Ability to present a well-groomed appearance.
• Ability to respond to aural cues across the full audible range in high-noise conditions, respond to visual cues, and perceive color.
• Ability to stoop, bend, jump, carry heavy loads, and run on level surfaces and up and down stairs.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to maneuver quickly around casino and hotel areas.
• Ability to tolerate secondhand smoke.
• Coordination and dexterity to use power and hand tools, including drills, electric saws, hammers, and sewer snakes.
• Ability to think clearly and respond calmly in emergency situations.
• Ability to learn and retain locations and operating and repair procedures for the property’s equipment, mechanical systems, and life safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on building mechanical systems, equipment, and tools.
• Operate life safety systems and perform maintenance and repairs in public areas and guest rooms.
• Assist with emergency situations as needed.
• Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to departmental and company policies.
