Part Time Facilites Coordinator
About The Position
The Part-Time Facilities Coordinator supports the safety, security, and effective operation of the organization’s buildings, grounds, and facilities. The role is a primary point of contact for day-to-day security and facilities matters and helps keep buildings and grounds safe and secure through tours, inspections, and responses to campus calls. A written report is required for each shift worked. The position is part-time and involves alternating weekend shifts from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The anticipated wage is $20.00 per hour, and the position is classified as non-exempt. The role is open until filled.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- Current New York State Security License.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with employees, visitors, contractors, and emergency personnel.
- Ability to work extended hours, including shifts of up to 12 hours.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use hands for long periods.
- Ability to perform physical activities, including lifting, pushing, and pulling objects up to 50 pounds; crouching, bending, kneeling, stopping, reaching, and climbing; and using hand and finger dexterity.
- Must follow Cary Institute safety protocols and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities
- Monitor the security of buildings, grounds, entrances, and other facilities.
- Conduct regular inspections and security rounds to identify safety, security, maintenance, or access issues.
- Monitor and respond to building fire alarms.
- Respond to campus emergency and non-emergency calls.
- Complete a written report for each shift worked.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
