Face to Face Interpreter - Hebrew
About The Position
Access 2 Interpreters, LLC is hiring a Hebrew language interpreter for in-person assignments in the Central Ohio area. Interpreters assist people during medical, social service, and other appointments. This role involves face-to-face interpretation, not video or telephone interpretation. The position is offered on a contractor basis, with interpreters choosing their own schedules and deciding how many available assignments to accept. Assignments are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, although most are requested during business hours. Earnings depend on the number of assignments accepted. Previous professional interpretation experience is not required, and applicants who speak English as a second language are welcome.
Requirements
- Be located in the Central Ohio area.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Be eligible to work in the United States.
- Pass a federal criminal background check based on fingerprints and a 10-panel drug screening.
- Provide proof of completing at least 40 hours of interpreter training through an accredited program.
- Provide certification of bilingual proficiency or complete and pay for a third-party bilingual fluency evaluation through an accredited testing and evaluation organization.
- Speak English and Hebrew.
