About The Position
Access 2 Interpreters, LLC is hiring a Spanish-language face-to-face interpreter to assist people during medical, social service, and other appointments. This is in-person interpreting, not video or telephone interpretation. Interpreters use their bilingual skills to support people who speak their language or dialect. The role offers flexible scheduling: contractors choose their own schedules and may accept as many or as few available assignments as they wish. Assignments are available 24/7/365, although most are requested during business hours. Earnings depend on the number of assignments accepted.
Requirements
- Be located in the Central Ohio area.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Be eligible to work in the United States.
- Pass a fingerprint-based federal criminal background check and a 10-panel drug screening; the posting says these are provided at no cost to the applicant.
- Provide proof of completion of at least 40 hours of interpreter training through an accredited program.
- Provide certification of bilingual proficiency or pay for and complete a third-party bilingual fluency evaluation through an accredited testing and evaluation organization.

- No previous professional interpretation experience is required.
