About The Position

Access 2 Interpreters, LLC is hiring a Twi language interpreter to provide in-person interpretation (not video or telephone) during medical, social service, and other appointments. Interpreters use their bilingual skills to assist people who speak Twi. Assignments are available 24/7/365, though most are requested during business hours. As a contractor, you choose your schedule and may accept as many or as few available assignments as you wish. Compensation depends on the assignments accepted; the posting describes the opportunity as a way to earn money but does not specify a pay rate.

Applicants must be located in Central Ohio, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be eligible to work in the United States. They must pass a fingerprint-based federal criminal background check and a 10-panel drug screening, both at no cost to the applicant. Applicants must also provide proof of at least 40 hours of interpreter training from an accredited program and certification of bilingual proficiency, or pay for and complete a third-party bilingual fluency evaluation through an accredited organization. Previous professional interpreting experience is not required, and English as a second language is welcome.

Requirements

• Be located in the Central Ohio area.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
