About The Position

Access 2 Interpreters, LLC is seeking an English-Hebrew interpreter to provide in-person interpretation during medical, social service, and other appointments. This is face-to-face work, not video or telephone interpretation. Interpreters choose their own schedules and may accept as many or as few available assignments as they wish. Assignments are available 24/7/365, although most are requested during business hours. The role is presented as an opportunity to earn money while using bilingual skills to assist people who need language support. Applicants without previous professional interpretation experience and those who speak English as a second language are welcome.

Requirements

• Be located in the Central Ohio area.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be eligible to work in the United States.
• Pass a federal criminal background check based on fingerprints and a 10-panel drug screening; these are provided at no cost to the applicant.
• Provide proof of completion of at least 40 hours of interpreter training from an accredited program. Examples include Bridging the Gap, Access 2 Interpreters' Access Academy, court interpretation training, or an interpretation certificate or degree from an accredited college or university.
• Provide certification of bilingual proficiency or pay for and complete a third-party bilingual fluency evaluation through an accredited testing and evaluation organization.
• Speak English and Hebrew.
