About The Position

The Fabricator works as a member of the Axle Production department and assists in operating machinery in the axle Production Area. The role operates MIG welding machinery in the Fabrication area, performs product quality checks with calibrated measuring tools, and completes paperwork and reports documenting builds according to work order specifications. The Fabricator must comply with applicable safety standards and regulations. The posting also includes the responsibility to oversee growing successful leaders.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited school.
• Pass the Hendrickson 2G weld test.
• Ability to use all personal protective equipment issued by Hendrickson.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Basic blueprint-reading ability.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a continuously improving environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work in a diverse production environment.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Attention to minor details to produce a superior-quality product.

Responsibilities

• Operate all MIG welding machinery in the Fabrication area.
• Perform quality checks using calibrated digital micrometers, veneer calipers, and go/no-go gauges to ensure products are within tolerance.
• Complete paperwork and reports documenting builds according to work order specifications.
• Comply with all safety standards and regulations.
• Oversee growing successful leaders.
• Learn and physically rotate among required job stations and tasks within the assigned area's rotation timetable.
