About The Position
The Peninsula Chicago is seeking a highly organized Server to join its food and beverage team and create memorable guest experiences at a luxury Five-Star Five-Diamond property on Michigan Avenue in Chicago. The role supports service across the outlet and includes preparation, training, and service in accordance with hotel standards. The Server provides friendly, discreet, and unobtrusive service, explains menu items, handles take-out orders and cash, and helps maintain restaurant and public-area facilities and equipment. The position pays $14.33 per hour plus tips. Applicants must have work authorization in the United States.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of restaurant operations.
- At least 2 years of experience in a hospitality service field.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Must have work authorization in the United States.

Responsibilities
- Handle activities related to outlet service, including preparation tasks, training, and performing service according to hotel standards.
- Greet, seat, and serve guests using correct service techniques while providing friendly, discreet, and unobtrusive service.
- Perform pre-service and after-service procedures according to standards.
- Explain food and beverage menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and appropriate service.
- Observe and maintain the daily condition of restaurant and public-area facilities and equipment, and recommend corrections or improvements as needed.
- Take daily take-out orders by phone or in person.
- Handle cash.
- Attend and participate in scheduled meetings and training sessions.
- Share feedback on guest comments or complaints with management.
