About The Position

Join the team behind the energy of Chinook Winds Casino Resort! As a Food & Beverage Host, you'll play a key role in creating memorable guest experiences by providing exceptional service from the moment guests arrive. You'll greet guests with a welcoming attitude, efficiently manage seating and wait lists, package to-go orders, and help ensure smooth restaurant operations in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Requirements

  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • Must obtain a Siletz Tribal Gaming License.
  • Must obtain OLCC Alcohol Service permit (18+)
  • Must obtain a Food Handlers Permit within 30 days of start date.
  • Must obtain VIP (Visibly Intoxicated Person) Permit within 45 days of the start date.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • One year of experience as host/hostess in restaurant, food service, hospitality, or casino preferred.
  • Previous high-volume restaurant or hospitality experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional, high-energy guest service by creating a welcoming, engaging, and memorable experience for every guest.
  • Greets guests promptly, maintain a friendly and professional demeanor, and provide exceptional hospitality from arrival through departure.
  • Manage guest seating efficiently by assessing seating availability, maintaining wait lists, coordinating table assignments, and seating guests according to operational needs and guest preferences whenever possible.
  • Communicate accurate wait times, answer guest questions, and proactively manage guest expectations during high-volume business periods.
  • Takes, prepares, and accurately packages to-go food orders according to guest specifications while maintaining quality, presentation, and food safety standards.
  • Inspects dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness, proper setup, and compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Monitor guest activity and dining room flow while communicating effectively with servers, cashiers, cooks, and leadership.
  • Speaks with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service while promptly addressing concerns or notifying leadership when appropriate.
  • Continuously stock menus, to-go supplies, condiments, utensils, and other service materials to support efficient restaurant operations.
  • Assists servers, cashiers, and other restaurant team members as business demands require to ensure seamless guest service.
  • Perform opening, closing, cleaning, stocking, side work, and general upkeep responsibilities for assigned areas.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with Chinook Winds Casino Resort guest service standards and all applicable policies and procedures.
  • Maintains general knowledge of menus, beverages, promotions, casino events, entertainment, and resort amenities to confidently answer guest questions and enhance their overall experience.
  • Contribute ideas to improve service, operational efficiency, and the overall guest experience.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
