About The Position

The Food and Beverage Attendant will be responsible for delivering excellent service to our Guests in multiple resort Food and Beverage outlets. Duties will include greeting Guests, assisting them with their selections, processing Guest’s rewards options and payments accurately with a point-of-sale system, expediting Guest food and drink orders, maintaining and stocking their venue appropriately in an attractive manner, collaborating with fellow Team Members, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, vocational training or the equivalent preferred.
  • Food Handler’s Card required.
  • California Responsible Beverage Service Training and Certification required upon hire.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • 0 to 2 years of related experience and/or training.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in cash handling.
  • Ability to work in a professional high-pressure environment while demonstrating and maintaining good personal relation/people skills and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to multitask and work well under stress.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to adjust to change.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours during the day or evening including weekends, holidays, and all blackout dates.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides welcoming greetings to Guests entering dining venues and/or in Guest’s rooms for In-room dining.
  • Describes menus in detail and answers questions regarding menu ingredients, allergens, and preparation.
  • Maintains working knowledge of food and beverage offerings, presentation, and service.
  • Makes recommendations to Guests when appropriate.
  • Uses descriptive verbiage, suggestive sell and upsell techniques.
  • Takes orders from Guests, entering orders into Point of Sale (POS) system using Guest’s names as appropriate within Food and Beverage service standards.
  • Ensure all Standards of Service are met for each Guest.
  • Adds appropriate garnishes and necessary service ware to orders prior to delivery to Guests.
  • Expedites orders as appropriate, either to carry out Guests, dining tables, or Guest rooms.
  • Coordinates with fellow Team Members to accomplish this with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Performs on going quality checks with dine-in Guests to ensure complete satisfaction with their dining experience.
  • Clears any unneeded items from dining tables as appropriate in dine-in venues prior to Guest departure. (pre-bussing)
  • Carefully separates all soiled dishware, flatware, and glassware in the kitchen utility area to allow for efficient cleaning and prevent breakage and loss.
  • Anticipates and responds to Guests’ needs and responds appropriately through vigilant attention to detail.
  • Performs proper payment procedures in a timely manner and assists with Guests’ departure.
  • Supports other Team Members with awareness of Guests’ needs, outside of their own service areas.
  • Alerts the area servers when Guests require attention or provides service to Guests when necessary.
  • Responsible for heavy stocking of necessary food products, glassware, silverware, service wares, condiments, and supplies to their designated storage areas.
  • Practices Responsible Alcohol Service including observing Guests for signs of intoxication, checking identification for age verification, and alerts management to issues as necessary.
  • Maintain knowledge of current resort and dining venue marketing promotions and/or special events.
  • Perform venue specific cleaning, bussing, and resetting tables using designated cleaning supplies as needed.
  • Follows and complies with applicable governmental laws and regulations, company and departmental policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Practices safe work habits always to avoid injury to self and others, including the safe operation of all relevant equipment and machinery.
  • Understands and practices good safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Ensures all health regulations are maintained to prevent food borne illnesses.
  • Ensures a clean, safe, and hazard free work environment is maintained.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
