The Banking and Capital Markets (B&CM) Audit team is a market-leading practice with an extensive portfolio of clients, including global banks, brokers, challenger banks, and FinTechs. The team consists of 650 experts operating from offices across the UK. Requirements

  • Chartered Accountant / ACA / ACCA / ICAS qualification (or an international equivalent) or equivalent work experience (including international candidates who qualify through experience).
  • A high level of experience of IFRS and/or UK GAAP.
  • Highly skilled in using international standards on auditing.
  • Highly developed project management skills and a strong track record of managing larger or more complex audits from planning to completion to the highest standard.
  • Ability to communicate complex or contentious audit matters clearly and concisely in both verbal and written form to colleagues and senior client stakeholders.
  • Ability to offer considered points of view in client conversations around broader industry topics and provide knowledgeable challenge to senior clients in the context of an audit.
  • Takes pride in their work and in the Audit profession.
  • Shows resilience and demonstrates dedication to self-development, including being agile and innovative in the digital world.

Responsibilities

  • Leading multi-location teams, using team and relationship management skills to ensure the delivery of high-quality audit work from planning to completion.
  • Reviewing financial statements to ensure they meet PwC and regulatory standards.
  • Building meaningful relationships and demonstrating curiosity to have insightful conversations and provide visible challenge during the Audit.
  • Leading the completion of complex or judgmental audit work, including identifying issues, analyzing data, articulating findings, and drawing informed conclusions.
  • Managing the financial and resource aspects of Audit engagements with a commercial approach.
  • Supporting the technical and personal development of team members, identifying areas where they may need further support, and coaching with purpose, being present with the team, and openly communicating expectations.
