The Banking and Capital Markets (B&CM) Audit team is a market-leading practice with an extensive portfolio of clients, including global banks, brokers, challenger banks, and FinTechs. The team consists of 650 experts operating from offices across the UK. Requirements

Chartered Accountant / ACA / ACCA / ICAS qualification (or an international equivalent) or equivalent work experience (including international candidates who qualify through experience).
A high level of experience of IFRS and/or UK GAAP.
Highly skilled in using international standards on auditing.
Highly developed project management skills and a strong track record of managing larger or more complex audits from planning to completion to the highest standard.
Ability to communicate complex or contentious audit matters clearly and concisely in both verbal and written form to colleagues and senior client stakeholders.
Ability to offer considered points of view in client conversations around broader industry topics and provide knowledgeable challenge to senior clients in the context of an audit.
Takes pride in their work and in the Audit profession.
Shows resilience and demonstrates dedication to self-development, including being agile and innovative in the digital world.

Responsibilities

Leading multi-location teams, using team and relationship management skills to ensure the delivery of high-quality audit work from planning to completion.
Reviewing financial statements to ensure they meet PwC and regulatory standards.
Building meaningful relationships and demonstrating curiosity to have insightful conversations and provide visible challenge during the Audit.
Leading the completion of complex or judgmental audit work, including identifying issues, analyzing data, articulating findings, and drawing informed conclusions.
Managing the financial and resource aspects of Audit engagements with a commercial approach.
Supporting the technical and personal development of team members, identifying areas where they may need further support, and coaching with purpose, being present with the team, and openly communicating expectations.
